THE HEADLESS NUN

A murdered nun. A missing head. A spirit said to wander French Fort Cove beneath the full moon.

For generations, the legend has endured. Historian Gabriel Beaumont wants to know what lies behind it.

When a storm exposes an old devotional medal, he finds a possible connection to the woman whose death became the story. Then visitors report footsteps and a pale figure among the trees.

In 1758, Sister Marie-Angélique Beaulieu is protecting displaced families along the Miramichi River, preserving their names and histories as war tears their lives apart.

Some powerful men have reasons to fear her records.

Separated by centuries, Gabriel’s investigation and Marie’s struggle reveal a mystery reaching beyond the familiar tale of a brutal murder.

An atmospheric supernatural historical novel about erased lives, dangerous evidence and a story whose retelling may have concealed the truth.
